Objective:  I can help create the expectations for Independent Reading and can show my understanding of literary elements through playing Kahoot!

• Entry Task:  Share with a neighbor-what has your in-class reading experience been like thus far?
  • Share out with class
  • Read Aloud--"The First Book" by Rita Dove
  • Devices handout
  • See Independent Reading Contract
    • What would you like to see changed or kept the same?
    • Make revisions in a small group
    • If you have a book at home bring it next Friday!
  • Sign-in to Kahoot!
• Exit Task:  Write your Kahoot! score on the top of your contract, and put your folder in your class file drawer.
