LA11 Daily Objective & Agenda

Objective:  As a class, we can show that we understand how to read through a lens from showing our understanding of The Help through the lenses of Everyman
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get out your lens 1/2 sheet from before the break
  • Review your quote, description, and illustration and circle which is your best piece of evidence for the statement of your lens
  • In lens groups, create a poster that represents your lens as seen in The Help
    • ​Poster Requirements:
      • Lens title (should be biggest font on the poster) 5 pts.
      • Lens definition (look back in your notes, discuss with your group, and write the defintion you agree on) 10 pts.
      • Each student writes their own statement with the piece of evidence you circled as your best (initial) 10 pts./student
      • As a group, make sure you include at least 3 illustrations (if they are not completed with the statements, make sure add relevant images) 5 pts.  
      • Complete and hang your poster by the last 10 min. of class
    • Go around the classroom and look at each of the posters to determine which you would prefer to read through
  • Exit Task:  Tell me which lens you would like to read Huckleberry Finn through (only 10 each)
