Objective:  I can work together to determine a "winner" at each station by thoughtfully reading the poems presented and discussing which poem most effectively presents the information provided about the phenomenal woman (SL1).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Sit in a group of 3 (do not move desks or chairs please)
  • Read the poems at your station--write at least one positive comment on one poem at each station
    • Great imagery!
    • Awesome simile!
    • My favorite!
  • As a group, determine which poem most effectively presents the information (who did you learn the most about AND who best followed the style of Angelou's poem?); put 1 tally for your group's selection on the post-it at the station.  YOU ONLY GET 1 GROUP VOTE!
  • Move to the next station and complete the process again--about 5 min./station
  • Exit Task: After, we will share out the titles selected for each group and re-read if we have any ties, and narrow our selection to reveal our winner!
