Objective:  I can practice my test-taking skills to prepare to take the SAT or (re)take the SBA by using the skills we practiced as a class when reading "Femininity" and "About Men" and applying those skills to my independent reading of "A Woman's Beauty:  Put-Down or Power Source?"
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get a Chromebook, sit in your assigned seat (5th & 6th) and sign in to Google Classroom
    • Open the CLASSROOM Beauty Performance Task in Google Classroom
    • Review your notes from yesterday to answer "Define how the social idea of beauty plays a positive or negative role in self-image."
    • Review expectations of strong thesis statement and revise your original
    • Review expectations for Evidence-based body paragraph and number each sentence as you write
    • Write your essay in the last pages of CLASSROOM Beauty Performance Task.  For full credit, you must have a thesis statement, one evidence-based body paragraph, and a concluding statement.
    • Exit Task:  When you finish "Turn in" your assignment to Google Classroom, and if you took paper notes, put them in the box.
