Objective:  I know when Gothic Literature developed and the elements that constitute the genre, so I can identify some of those elements in poetry and short stories.
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get your handouts from the basket
  • DW:  What is the scariest story you can think of?  What makes is scary?
    • Follow along to the Gothic Elements presentation and take notes on everything that is blue/pink.
    • Follow the directions in the presentation to read and annotate Porphyria's Lover by Robert Browning.
  • Exit Task:  Share out the Gothic Elements we found in the poem and make sure that your notes and the poem are in your notebook.
