Objective:  I can explore what it means to read through a critical lens and show evidence that I am beginning to process the essential question.
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get out your notebook and a pen(cil)
    • Continue along to the introductory prezi by finishing the evidence for critical lenses.
    • Review the list of "great books" provided in the classroom with a group of 3.
    • Write down the title of each of the books that you have read.
    • Under each, write down what you remember about the book, if anything.
    • Write the title of your most memorable book on the board--at least 10 from the class, the more the merrier!
    • Review your notes and the board and explain in your journal how books from this list help to prove the necessity of literature OR help you understand your place in society.
    • In the prezi, explore the quotes from some of the authors we will read and choose one that you think represents you.  Select one and cut and paste into your notebook.
    • Add to your answer to the essential questions from yesterday.
  • Exit Task:  Make sure that the handouts are organized into your journal or two-pocket folder.  These are ESSENTIAL to your understanding.
