Objective:  I can develop and strengthen writing by revising, editing, rewriting, or trying a new approach, focusing on addressing what is most significant for a specific purpose and audience (W5).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get your Chromebook and sit where you are not going to be distracted; log in to your Chromebook and go to Google Classroom, but then keep it closed for further instruction.  Get out three colors (pencils, crayons, markers, or highlighters).
    • Look at the SBA Rubric used to score your writing
  • Mark one of the student examples (on the back of the rubric) with each color; make edits to their writing based on our class input
    • After each example is read, score it using the color you assigned it.
    • Answer the reflection questions under the rubric and turn in your paper.
  • Open your Chromebook and begin to make changes/additions to your first draft based on your personal comments received.
  • Exit Task:  Find a good place to stop in your edits--if you did not finish, you should work on this at home, during lunch, or at access time.
