Objective:   I can analyze the representation of the story of Persephone from Greek Mythology in two different artistic mediums, including what is emphasized or absent in each treatment, and work together to create our own representation (RL9-10.7).
Agenda:

  • Entry Task:  What do you know about Hades, The Underworld, Persephone, pomegranates, and/or the seasons of the year?  If you can, explain how these are connected.
    • Share your response to the above questions with a neighbor
  • Review our definition of mythology from Discover prezi and quickly click through to show how we have connected to gods and heroes, creation, existence, and now we are connecting to Death and Seasons.
  • Fill in the blanks for Death and Seasons from the prezi on the handout
    • Review the questions for the video then,
  • Watch Clash of the Gods: Hades and answer the questions while viewing
  • Exit Task:  Make sure your answers are completed while we share out.  Be prepared to answer any questions when called on.
