Objective:  I can evaluate the specific claims in a text, assessing whether the reasoning is valid and the evidence is relevant and sufficient being on the watch out for false statements and fallacious reasoning (RI8).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get out your Chromebook and write your daily write. You do not need to log in to your Chromebook yet.
    • DW:  Read the objective for today.  What do you think we are going to do?  What is the meaning of fallacious based on the context of the objective?
      • Be ready to be called on--no volunteers today.
    • Review Article Analysis in your rubric--how much is it worth?
  • Take notes under your daily write on Source Types and CRAP
  • Go to Google Classroom and open your Famous Figure Biography Slideshow.
    • Skip to Article Analysis Slides
    • Open a new tab and Google your Famous Figure's name.  Look for another source that fits one of our terms for the day--NOT Wikipedia or Biography.com
    • Once you find an interesting source, begin to complete your Article Analysis directly into your slideshow
  • If you missed any of your biography questions that this answers, you may use it, BUT remember you must cite the source!
  • Exit Task:  Show me your Article Analysis slides when you are finished for today's Daily Completion Points.
