Objective: I can write a narrative in the style of a gossip column or historical fiction about my famous figure in which I can accurately cite strong and thorough textual evidence using MLA format and avoid plagiarism (W1; RI1). Agenda:
Entry Task: Get out your Chromebook and sit where you are comfortable to type but not talk.
DW: No write today--turn and share what is one interesting fact you have learned about your famous figure with a neighbor that you did not know before we began our work?
Be prepared to share who your famous figure is and your interesting fact with the whole class if called on.
Work Hour: During our block schedule today, I will give you up to one hour of work time on your presentation OR your Weebly website. Both of these are due at the end of next week. At this point, you should have these items completed in your slideshow:
Your Weebly Famous Figure page should be complete through #8
After Hour: Gossip column or Historical Fiction introduction and examples. Select your preference and complete draft then add to your slideshow.
Exit Task: Hit Turn In on the draft of your Historical Fiction or Gossip Column for Daily Completion Points.
