Objective: I can finish my introduction by utilizing my notebook and the template provided. Agenda:
Entry Task: Get your Chromebook and sign in to Google Classroom
Review directions for the first body paragraph. Today is your last day to complete both thoroughly and thoughtfully.
Use the example of a completed introduction and body paragraph, go back to the body paragraph template and begin with editing your introduction.
Continue at your own pace.
Write your name on the board if you need writing help.
Writing days are independent work, you may listen to music, but you don't need help from your neighbors, so you should be working silently. Otherwise, the TED Talk below will be playing quietly in the background. If you are done with your essay, follow along with the TED Talk and complete the exercises along with the speaker.
Exit Task: Make sure you "turn in" before the end of the period (even if it is not perfect) and log off of your computer and put it back where it belongs, plugged in, please. If you finish early, and you would like to retake the poetry test, this is your last in-class chance (you can always retake at access time). Or, if you are happy with your test score and your essay, you may work on your website (did you just write a poem with the TED Talk? Would you like to add it or another from your "You Try Its"?) or independent reading. No school tomorrow!
