Objective:  I can review what is necessary to write a high-scoring passage essay for the AP Test (W11-12.5). 
Agenda:

• Entry Task: If you wrote the Poetry Essay since we have been closed, please go there and review the comments for your individual "work on."  If not, you do not have to complete that essay, but you do need to write the passage essay that will be posted tomorrow.  
  • ​Read the passage prompt from last year's AP Test (p.3)
    • What three elements is the prompt asking for?
    • Where should you find meaning according to the prompt?
  • Read the first two essays written for this prompt
    • ​Pay attention to how they address the three elements
    • Pay attention to the meaning they identified related to the prompt
    • Read what the scorers said about both essays on the last pages of the packet.  
  • Tomorrow you will write your 2nd to last essay for AP Literature.  

Exit Task:  If you are taking the official AP Test at home, there will be no multiple choice.  You will write one of the three types of essays.  For those of you who are not taking the official test, you will be assigned one final in-class essay (through Google Classroom).
