Objective:  I know who Kate Chopin was and can identify evidence of Romanticism, Realism, and Realism in her story "Desiree's Baby."
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get out your notebook and be ready to take notes
  • Take notes from the Kate Chopin prezi 
    • Organize your notes for author, Realism, and Naturalism labeling each section clearly
    • Read and annotate the poem by Sylvia Plath following along to the directions in the prezi 
  • Review expectations for reading The Awakening
    • ​Select Feminist, Gender, or New Historical Lens to read through (Must be an even amount in each class)
  • Exit Task:  Take a copy of "Desiree's Baby" and annotate for evidence of Romanticism, Realism, and/or Naturalism as you understand them = 10 optional points.
