AP Daily Objective & Agenda

Objective: I know that writing a passage prompt utilizes the same format as a poem or open-choice prompt and can apply my skills to practice outlining my ideas about the passage provided (W11-12.4).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Pick up your last micro-essay as you come in AND the passage on Frankenstein, Jane Eyre, or Pride and Prejudice you would like to read and complete a micro-essay on today.
    • Remember:  If you did not read the passage from your own book last time, you must do so today to practice writing ONLY on what is in the passage.  
  • Quickly, review micro-essay expectations
  • Read the prompt and annotate the passage
  • Complete the “musts” of the micro-essay: 
    • Opening Sentence
    • Thesis Statement
    • ONE body section (at least)
    • Concluding Statement
Exit Task:  Make sure your name is on your outline, staple it to the prompt, AND your first micro-essay to keep them together, and put them in the box for safe-keeping.
