Objective:  I can identify the form of a sonnet and know their specifications when I encounter them, and I can begin to use the language of Shakespeare and poetry to discuss my readings (W11-12.10).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get out annotated Multiple Choice and answer the next question.  Be prepared to be called on and give your reasoning for your answer. 
    • Get out your annotations on "If It's Square, It's a Sonnet"
  • REMINDER:  You can now complete either Hamlet quizlet for optional participation points.  
    • What do we know about a sonnet from the reading?  What questions do we have?
    • See the Sonnet booklet and utilize to have a complete understanding and be able to identify the variations of a sonnet.
    • Follow along to the Sonnet Introduction prezi to complete your sonnet booklet
Exit Task: Put your sonnet booklet together and attach to your notebook; if you so choose, attempt to write your own sonnet--for those of you doing the poetry anthology deepening assignment, this is a required component.
