Objective:  I can cite strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis through the lenses of Feminism, Psychoanalysis, and Archetypes in order to draw inferences from the text, including determining where the text leaves matters uncertain (RL11-12.1).
Agenda:

• Entry Task:  Get out your Applying Lenses from yesterday and review which lens you were most interested in then.  
  
• Read Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and try Applying Lenses using some of the questions in order to get a sense of how to read critically.
  
• Having read both stories, select which lens you think you prefer to learn more about by returning to the prezi posted in Google Classroom
  
  • Take notes on Feminism, Psychoanalytical, or Archetypal Lenses by reading the applicable slide from the prezi and watching the video.  Turn in your handout.
    
• Exit Task:  Practice your lens more thoroughly over the break by applying it to The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Anderson OR a movie, short story, or children’s book of your choosing.  Answer the questions on a second copy of Feminism, Psychoanalytical, or Archetypal Lenses.
