Objective: I can examine Transcendental and Tragedy themes in our reading of “To Build a Fire” by Jack London including how they interact and build on one another to provide an objective summary of the text (RL11-12.2).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task: Get out your composition notebook and answer:  Find a quote from the story, copy it into your notebook and illustrate it.  Make sure to include the title and author of the story.
  • Continue “To Build a Fire” by Jack London identifying evidence of both Transcendentalism and Tragedy as you are following along.
    • Write an objective summary of the reading to someone who has never read the story including evidence of both the Transcendental and the Tragic
  • Introduction to Vocab Set 1 with Kahoot!
Exit Task:  Your Kahoot! score is your pretest score.  You can continue to review from the list provided.
