Objective: I can analyze and gather evidence on how a text moves characters through the steps of culture shock (RL.11-12.1), so I can emulate the style in my own writing (W11-12.5). Agenda:
Entry Task: Take out both packets we have been working on this week (Alexie & Russell). If needed, we will finish reading and the questions for Russell’s story from yesterday.
After answering the questions, you will begin brainstorming and drafting your own transitional story regarding culture shock. Take time to read the “Try It” and begin filling out the brainstorming chart in your packet.
Exit Task: After you have finished the brainstorming chart, choose one of the two brainstorms you have completed this week and begin drafting a story on your preferred idea.
