Objective: I can develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, editing, rewriting, or trying a new approach, focusing on addressing what is most significant for a specific purpose and audience (W11-12.5).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Pick up your returned Into the Wild journal and review your rubric score.
    • Add your returned work from the transitions unit thus far to the next few pages.
    • The rest of your work/writing for the year, will be completed in your journal.
  • Review the directions for the Creative Writing anthology
  • Write the rough draft of your introduction on the next blank page in your journal to include a short paragraph for each of the following:
    • What you like to read
    • Authors you love
    • What you like to write
    • What you hope your anthology will show about you
  • After you handwrite, grab a Chromebook and type your introduction, making any edits necessary to write a perfected draft.
  • Exit Task:  “Turn in” your introduction--this is your first 5 points of your anthology, but it is 20 participation points today!
