Objective:  I can determine two or more central ideas of a text and analyze their development over the course of the text, including how they interact and build on one another to provide a complex version of the story presented (RI11-12.2).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Review the Sensory Words list; select:
    • 2 Hearing Words
    • 1 Taste Word
    • 2 Smell Words
    • 2 Touch/Text Words
    • 3 Shape Words
    • 2 Sight Words--Colors
    • 2 Tone Words
  • Read “The Most Beautiful Suicide” from Time
  • Determine two central ideas the author introduces about the image based on the article
    • Annotate for who, what, when, where, and why
  • After reading, try to use all your selected Sensory Words to describe the event, using the central ideas you discovered in the reading and your imagination to tell a complete narrative poem.
  • Exit Task:  Underline your best description and turn to share it with a neighbor.
