CW Daily Objective and Agenda

Objective:  I can write narratives to develop real or Dystopian experiences or events using effective technique, well-chosen characterization, and well-structured event sequences (W11-12.3).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get out your brainstorm handout and review your details or take a few minutes to finish up your ideas.  
  • Review the character questions:
    • Who will be your main character? How will(s)he/it feel trapped and struggle to escape?
    • How will the main character help the negative aspects of the dystopian world through his/her/its perspective?
  • Use the Character Creation handout to help develop well-chosen characterization for your protagonist
    • 5 min. per person with the baby name books!    
    • Use the class to complete the character traits and questions as thoroughly as possible
  • If necessary, take a 5 min. break to share out your ideas with a neighbor
  • Exit Task:  Share your character’s name and your favorite detail so far
