​Objective:  I can honor each person's culminating work by giving them my respect and listening to their presentation.  
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Take a roster and write your name on it; be prepared to present when you are called on.
    • Review the directions on the roster provided
    • Watch the presentations, rate on your roster
    • After presentations, we will finish The Return of the King if we haven’t yet.
Exit Task:  At the end of the period, make note of your favorite--you will choose your favorite after the last presentation.

Objective:  Utilize the Chromebooks today to finalize your presentation.
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Grab a Chromebook
    • Use Chromebook to finalize presentation
    • Please ask for feedback if you have questions--remember this is the assignment that will maintain your grade.   
      • Submit your slideshow to the assignment in Google Classroom
    • Return of the King will be playing while you work.  
Exit Task:  Due at the end of the period. Can't wait to see your final presentation!

  • Entry Task:  Have out slideshow rough draft
  • Watch Fellowship of the Ring
  • Identify a character group (Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, Humans) whose values are significant to you--complete these rough draft slides as you watch.
Exit Task:  Be ready to show your rough draft when the movie is over.  If available, you may work on the slides on a Chromebook while you watch next week.

    • Follow along with slideshow introduction; get copy of slideshow rough draft

      • Complete rough draft of slides for Beowulf
  • Exit Task:  Turn in your answers from the week--National Geographic, Clash of the Gods, and today's reading questions.

    • Follow along with Clash of the Gods: Beowulf and answer the questions
    • Go over answers with a partner and be sure you have them all

Agenda:  
  • Entry Task:  Get out your questions and finish National Geographic:  Lord of the Rings Beyond the Film
    • Go over your questions with a partner to make sure you have them all complete. Turn them in to your teacher
  • Walk-around:  Number your paper 1-15--go around to each picture (make sure you write on the right number!).  Use the word bank and pictures to write the sentences.
Exit Task:  Check your answers for the walk-around--by sharing the number asked of you.  Make edits as necessary.

Objective:  I can begin to understand the connections between Lord of the Rings and Beowulf.  
Agenda:  
  • Entry Task:  Get out a piece of paper and pen(cil), review the questions provided.
  • Watch National Geographic:  Lord of the Rings Beyond the Film and answer as many questions as you can
  • Do not share answers during the film, you might miss another question!  You will be given time to get answers to those you missed after the film in our next class.
  • Exit Task:  Return the questions to the teacher and hold on to your answers to be completed in our next class.
