Objective:  I can respond thoughtfully to diverse perspectives as shown in "The Danger of a Single Story" while considering my own and how it could change (SL11-12.1D).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Pick up the handout “The Danger of a Single Story” :  TED Talk with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and respond to the quote in the space provided.  You can write, draw, but try to be expressive in your reaction.
  • As each question is presented in the prezi, respond thoughtfully.
    • The more you consider these questions, the more you will take away from the video.
    • You will have approximately 1 min./question, but the teacher will be watching for pen(cil)s moving and give a 10 second warning before moving on to the next question.
  • As you watch, make note of anything Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie says during the TED Talk that stands out to you.
  • After you watch, answer the questions from the prezi.
    • Really consider what you have learned here and how it has influenced the words of your story.
  • Exit Task:  If you could learn more about any other place/country, where would it be and why?
