Objective:  I can analyze how an author's choices contribute to its overall structure and meaning as well as its aesthetic impact by reviewing one of my favorite author’s books (RL11-12.5).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  If included in your file folder, reread your reading journey you wrote in previous years at Cheney High School and add the underlined; if not included, answer in your notebook, what is a book that you read that you enjoyed?  This can go all the way back to when you were read to as a child--try to think of something that you remember well.
  • Share out favorite authors or books and write on board
  • Review directions for Letters About Literature
    • Watch video
    • Consider which authors on our board would work for you now knowing the requirements
  • Begin to complete the Favorite Author Brochure with what you remember. You will have the opportunity to research/read throughout the week if you have forgotten some of the details.
Exit Task:  Review the changes for next year’s juniors and seniors, go the Skyward to see who your teacher is next semester then complete the survey linked in Google Classroom.
