Objective:  I can conduct a short research project to answer my questions regarding my future plans (W11-12.7), and I can produce a clear and coherent outline in which the development and organization are appropriate to planning my future for both training and career in order to make a decision I can work toward for the foreseeable future (W11-12.4).
Agenda:
  • Entry Task:  Get out your notecards and notes about MLA citation as well as your Chromebook.  Sit where you can focus on your research questions. This is an independent activity.
  • Using your notecards, search for the answers to your questions.  Make sure to accurately cite as you go.  DO NOT move on to another question until you have done the MLA Citation and parenthetical (in-text) citation on the card as shown in the example.
    • Your notecards will be checked at the end of the period to assess your understanding of parenthetical citations and Works Cited format.
  • You may work on your questions simultaneously OR finish your questions first, but either way, your outline will be due at the end of the period tomorrow with a completed Works Cited.
  • Exit Task:  Last 10 min. put your Chromebook away and leave your notecards out on your desk with the citation side up.  Once you have been checked off, you may pack up.
